Little Beaver Guideboat Works

  Home Our Mission

In this day and age of specialized products with only single uses, Little Beaver Guideboat Works offers Adirondack Guide Boats with one simple hull design yet, with many uses. Everyone from outdoors people, campers, and racers to family groups will be pleased with the Guide Boat's multiple uses.

Working with molds prepared from original Guide Boats, we offer low maintenance, durable boats, trimmed in select natural hardwoods and fitted with handcrafted, silicon bronze accessories. With the largest selection of Adirondack Guide Boat molds in the world, we are able to custom build a craft to meet the specific needs of each of our customers.

Little Beaver Guideboat Works offers individually handcrafted boats in an array of styles, including wood ribbed models with composite hulls for those interested in retaining the "original" look of a late 1800's Guide Boat.   Also available are wood-stripped versions of several models.

Boaters wanting to race, fish, exercise, camp or take the family on a pleasure cruise will only need to purchase one craft. In a pamphlet published in 1889, H. Dwight Grant wrote, "Thirty years of experience has demonstrated to the Adirondack Guide that no other boat manufactured can begin to compete with them for durability, speed, lightness, capacity and ability to ride through rough water in safety." The same holds true today. Coupling the uniqueness of design with the advantage afforded by using 8 foot oars, these boats are truly a one-of-a-kind rowing experience.

There is nothing-absolutely nothing- half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." (Ratty, of Wind in the Willows)

We agree, come "mess around" in one of our boats. Visit us at: www.littlebeaverguideboatworks.com.

Let us help you enjoy a veritable rowing pleasure.
